Ice Hockey, well as you can tell from lots of my previouse entries (if you've read my school journal) you would know I love to dance and play soccer. But that isn't close to all the sports I love to do. Like the first two words in the first sentence, you can tell the sport that I'm going to tell you about, and that I love doing. Ice Hockey, yeah. It' one of my "many" passions. I guess hockey is in my blood since I'm Canadian and all, but ICE hockey is just my favorite and is so amazing, and is quite special to me. When you first get out on that ice on that HUGE arena it's awesome. It's so cool, and frosty. Of course, I'm not cold though, because, I'll be wearing SO much padding. But to see everything that I've missed since I left Canada. But it6's all just SO awesome might I add again. I havent been skating or playing in quite some time, so I'm guessing I'm really "rusty" on the skills as you mmight say. But that's fine. I just like to know that I got to and still can play play favorite skating sport in the world...ICE HOCKEY! =D

STOP FRAME REFLECTION ESSAY
We have recently finished a big clay built animation on a famous explorer. My partner was Kelsey Juvenile, and we did our project on Leif Eriksson. He was the son of Erik the Red, a famous Viking-farmer who some believe discovered America, but left before exploring it. Leif then rediscovered it later and fully explored it. He formally discovered America in his time.
There were a lot of fun parts of this project, but my favorite part I most enjoyed was the photography. It was so great to see all the work you put into the back ground, and the people come out in a finished product. You got to capture and edit everything until it was perfect. I already had an interest in photography, so this was a big challenge and great part of this project.
As always, with a project, come difficult parts. I’m no computer genius, so the duration and the computer work of importing scenes from the camera was really difficult for me to do alone or at all. It was hard because I virtually have no patience, and messed it up a lot. All and all, I really think that it benefited me with future technical skills, which I’ll use someday.
I learned a lot of things on this project, and I would still say all the computer work was the most valuable thing I ever could have learned. Along with that, were my partner skills Usually, I like to take over and do everything myself. But working with Kelsey made me realize that when you’re with a partner, you have to equally share all of the work. I learned to work well with others and be patient and polite with a partner.
All throughout the project I learned, and found difficult and enjoyable parts that stuck out to me. I really enjoyed doing this project more than I thought I would. I got through all of the hard things, easy things, etc. but it all came together very well. I am very proud of it. Thanks Mr. Bergquist for helping me get that great feeling of accomplishment and pride in my work.

Falcons VS. Arch Bishop =[
SO...Friday kinda sucked. I went to a Falcon's game at the High School hoping to do another victory dance, but I was wrong. We lost. The score was like 7 t0 14 or something, pretty close. But it was a fun game. 4Th quarter was madness! Everyone was screaming an cheering yelling, "DEFENSE! DEFENSE!" Anyways, i got a muffin and hot chocolate, so it was OK with me that we lost. Ha ha. So yeah. Next week (if there is a game) we are SO going to WIN! GO FALCONS! WOO WOO!!!

REAR WINDOW ESSAY
The wonderfully crafted movie called “Rear Window” was directed by one of the world’s most amazing and inspirational people who lived at that time. His name was Alfred Hitchcock. “Rear Window” is a movie about a famous photographer named L.B. Jefferies, who had severely broken his leg. In the despair of being stuck in his apartment for seven weeks, he takes an interest of watching a suspicious neighbor whose wife had recently disappeared. Together he, his girlfriend, and the nurse investigate. This movie was, for the most part, filmed in one apartment. This movie could have been very boring, but, the way Mr. Hitchcock fills it with suspense, makes it an enjoyable flick that will keep you guessing.
Alfred Hitchcock’s film, “Rear Window” is riveting, is how he creates suspense through shadows and lighting. An example would be when the mysterious shadow creeps over Mr. Jefferies while he is sleeping. You wonder what is going to happen. You get anxious. When Mr. Thorwald enters the apartment in the dark, with no lights on, and only a shadow of him standing at the door way, you get excited because you want to know what is going to come next in the following scene, Now that is all excitement!
Another way “Rear Window” is full of surprises, is by the way he creates suspense through silence. As odd as that may sound, it is amazing how this is true. When Mr. Thorwald is talking on the phone, long distance, you can tell he is trying to keep his wife from hearing. And you wonder who he is talking to, and how it will tie in later in the story. As his wife comes in and they talk, you wonder with anxiousness what she has discovered and found out. You feel drawn to what you think will happen next.
He also creates suspense through the scene itself. This is one of the most important and popular ways of creating suspense. Another good example of how this is true is when Mr. Thorwald is putting away all those knives and saws rapped up in newspaper. It makes you wonder what he is doing with them, and what he has done. What will happen next? Through anxiousness and excitement in a very suspenseful way. The things that Mr. Jefferies isn’t supposed to be seeing through his apartment, is right there creating suspense itself. You are wondering why he had those knives and saws in the first place.
Alfred Hitchcock did a wonderful job of making this movie interesting an a suspenseful film to view. I really enjoyed the fact that he was able to put you inside all the main characters minds. What they thought, I thought, and what they predicted or assumed, I did the same. I am looking forward to watching many more of Alfred Hitchcock’s classics.
